Use these organic pine kernels (also known as pine nuts) to garnish salads or scatter over roasted veg. Pine kernels are an essential ingredient in traditional Italian pesto, along with fresh basil and Parmesan cheese. Or try them in a rice pilaf, or in stuffed vine leaves.

Lightly toasting your pine kernels will release the nuts oils and enhance the naturally sweet flavour. But be careful, pine nuts can burn quickly in a hot frying pan.
