Item Details:

Grow Green Vermicompost comes from pre-consumer food scraps (rinds, peelings, seeds, etc.) and coffee grounds from MSU dining facilities. It is mixed with leaves and other locally sourced dry organic material and briefly hot composted before being processed by red wiggler worms. The end result is a well-aged and stable soil amendment.

This item is sold by the cubic yard. This is a loose product to be loaded into a pickup truck or trailer.

How to use Grow Green:

• Top Dressing Plants: Sprinkle a small amount on the soil of your beds prior to watering (1/4 on surface). Repeat regularly for best results.
• Container Plant Growing Media: Mix into your current growing media or seed starting media at a 10 to 20% by volume ratio
• Garden Beds: When transplanting annuals or perennials, mix in the planting hole a half cup for small plants or a full cup for larger plants.

Pickup:

This is a loose product to be loaded into a pickup truck or trailer. This item can only be picked up Monday-Friday between 8:00am and 3:30pm. This item will only be available for local pickup at the MSU Surplus Store. Please see ourHours and Location for more information.
